What a year it’s been for Coworking Convos!
We had our 50th Convo in January and hit the 60 mark in October. That’s a lot of Convos! We are this close to passing 8,000 Convos participants and I am profoundly grateful for every one of you who makes Coworking Convos the extraordinary event it is.
As we move into 2025, I want to share a look back and a look forward.
Coworking Convos started in 2019 with a question: How many coworking space operators could we fit into a Zoom call and still have it feel friendly, familiar and valuable?
My guess was around 20.
Ha!
Since then, we’ve had well over 100 space operators and pros on a single call many times. Turns out, if you have smart guests, the conversation is moderated, and you have a team of ace co-hosts (Thank you Amanda, Lauren and Hector!), the sky is the limit.
Learn, Share and Connect
The vision for Coworking Convos has always been to have a monthly virtual event series where coworking space operators can learn, share and connect. Convos is community-focused, flexible and participatory. And, as in life, the more you participate in Convos, the more you get out of them.
In every Convo, you’ll find indie coworking spaces, scaled brands with dozens of locations, the occasional huge brand, and everything in-between. It’s everything I love about coworking: there is something for everyone and we all have so much to learn from each other.
Our 2024 Convos topics include hospitality strategies, event ideas, storytelling as a lead-gen tool, educating your local community about coworking, community building, creative marketing strategies, staying engaged as a community manager, giving great tours of your space, and more.
Our Convos guest roster is too big to share here, but we’ve had more than 200 coworking pioneers, industry standouts, workspace badasses, and rising stars share their tips, strategies and insights in Convos.
Their willingness to share openly and generously keeps Convos (and coworking) focused on the best things of all: human connection, belonging, making a positive contribution and working with purpose.
The Future of Convos
Moving forward, my intention is to continue to keep Convos topics as relevant and timely as possible, grow the number of participants at each Convo, expand our guest roster (there are so many amazing coworking space operators I haven’t met yet!) and keep building our Convos sponsor community.
As you can imagine, pulling off Convos takes a lot of coordination and work. And we absolutely would not be able to do what we do without the support of our amazing partners and sponsors.
