Coworking has changed a lot in the last 10 years.
Now, in addition to community-focused coworking spaces, we have a booming workspace industry full of spaces that range from grassroots coworking communities to office rental facilities that have a limited or nonexistent focus on community.
Is a coworking space different from a workspace? (I think so but I’d love to hear your perspective.)

I believe the majority of coworking spaces are actually modern workspace. They are basically modern versions of what used to be referred to as executive suites. Having an actual successful coworking space is a lot like trying to form a successful band. Both require a high amount of talent and passion that very few coworking space operators actually have. This is not to say that a workspace that is not really a coworking space has no value.
