Let’s do a little thought experiment.
What would happen if you lost your coworking space?
I mean the actual building, with all your cool interior design, your ergonomic furniture, your soundproof phone booths, your glass-enclosed meeting rooms?
Would your community stay connected until you collectively figured out the next step?
Or would it quickly fall apart as people left for whatever desk-and-wifi rental space fit their needs?
The best coworking spaces have very little to do with the actual building (including all that super-fabulous design and furniture).
Design fads come and go, and the wow factor of your space wears off after a while.
The best coworking spaces are coworking communities.
Make sure the strength of your coworking space lies in your community, not your building.
